How should I prepare for my sunless spray tanning session?
For the best results, we recommend exfoliating and shaving the day before your appointment. You may also exfoliate and shave on the day of your session if necessary, although the day before is preferred.
On the day of your spray tan, arrive with clean, dry skin. Avoid applying:
● Moisturizer
● Perfume
● Body lotion
● Oils
● Deodorant
These products can create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution and may affect the final result.
You may resume your regular skincare routine after your first shower following your spray tan.
How long should I wait before showering?
For the best results, we recommend waiting at least 4 hours before showering.
For a deeper, more developed tan, 8 hours is recommended when possible.
Showering too soon may reduce the intensity of your tan before the colour has fully developed.
If your VersaSpa session includes an instant cosmetic bronzer, the cosmetic colour you see immediately after your session will rinse away during your first shower. This is normal. The DHA in the tanning solution will continue developing your tan beneath the cosmetic colour.
How long does a sunless spray tan last?
A VersaSpa spray tan can last up to approximately 7 days, depending on your skin type, the formulation selected and how well you care for your tan.
To help extend the life of your tan:
• Keep your skin moisturized after your first shower.
• Avoid excessive exfoliation.
• Pat your skin dry rather than rubbing it.
• Stay hydrated.
• Follow the recommended aftercare instructions.
